About Ben Buckley-Green
Ben Buckley-Green is a second-generation custom homebuilder and carpenter. Born and raised in the village of Siasconset on Nantucket Island, MA, Ben learned to swing a hammer by age six. By his teenage years, Ben was well versed in home building from frame-to-finish. Ben earned his BA in Philosophy and Religion at the University of Vermont, all the while working summers on Nantucket as a lead carpenter on some of the Island's highest-end luxury custom homes.
Post-college, Ben traveled the country extensively, and it was during that time that he visited family friends in Charleston. Ben promised himself that if he didn’t find anywhere he liked more, he would settle down in Charleston after his travels. Sure enough, by 2003, Ben had moved to Charleston to begin a career in building in the Lowcountry. In the last twelve years, Ben has managed over $20 million in high-end custom and spec homes in the Charleston area and has gained experience in historic restoration and commercial construction. Ben holds an Unlimited Commercial and General Contractors License in South Carolina, and he prides himself on his hands-on approach to construction. |
